Create a letter from santa - How the process works...

1. Our website visitors create a letter from santa by first of all entering the personal details about the recipient of the santa letter. These details include the name, address, age, achievements and more. You can see all of the personalised letter details on the "Create a Letter page.
    
2. If the age of the recipient is over 18 then a set of letter content becomes available that is targeted to adults. If the age of the recipient is under 18 then these options are not available.
    
3. When the personal details have been entered, the remaining steps of the letter creation process are simply selecting a choice from a series of options. Each paragraph in the letter contains up to 10 variations of content, all of which will be personalised with the details that were entered in step 1.
    
4. There are 7 paragraphs in the letter from santa. When these have all been selected then a full preview of the letter is displayed. At this stage (or at any of the previous stages) the user may go back and change any of the details or choices that were made in the previous steps.
    
5. Once the santa letter is complete you have the option to save it. If you are a new visitor to our website then you will first need to register. Registration is FREE and takes just a few moments. During the registration process you will be asked to enter an email address and password. This information will allow you access to your Lapland Letterbox "My Account" area where you can view all of the letters that you have created, see their status and edit or delete them.
    
6. When you have completed the account registration form and clicked the register button, an email will be sent to you containing your account details and a link to activate your account. Click on this link (or follow the instructions in the activation email) and your account will be active.
    
7. Upon entering your "My Account" area you will see a list of the santa letters you have created and their statuses. You may edit your account, or modify and delete the letters that you have created.
    
8. Once you have created all of the letters that you wish to purchase, you may pay the santa letters using our secure payment facility, provided by Worldpay.
    
9. Once paid, letters will be processed and sent out on a daily basis. Your "My Account" page will be updated to reflect the status of the letters.
    
10. Lapland Letterbox will not begin sending any letters until the first week of December. Any letters purchased before this time will be saved in your account and sent in batch at this time.
     
11. Our back-office processes are a mixture of automated systems and old-fashioned hard work. Our dedicated team of elves prepare all letters by hand, and of course Santa Claus himself signs all letters and christmas cards before they are checked once again by hand and then folded, placed into envelopes and posted via Royal Mail.
